I love my job, that’s no secret! But yesterday was a special day, as I felt like I was truly reliving different stages of my own life right along with the three amazing families I spent the day with. There was so much love, so much laughter, so much fun all day, and I SO enjoyed the little trip down memory lane.
First stop ~ a huge, loving group of grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, mixed in with a little outlaw fun:) I have been on the other side of the camera for TONS of these photo sessions, and I had so much fun being a part of this family’s fun for a few short hours. The reason for this particular celebration was an 80th birthday, and there was music playing, lots of laughter and so much love. I have always felt so lucky to have a family just like this, and I could tell that each one of these wonderful people felt the same way!
Next up was a precious 9 day old baby girl, and the first child for these amazing new parents. I don’t think there are truly the words to describe the emotions every first parent feels. I remember feeling almost scared at how much I loved my baby and thinking my heart was literally going to explode. I could see that raw emotion in these parents and I felt like I was experiencing it all over again by watching them with their daughter. So much awe and wonder ~ I am truly blessed to have been a part of the first days of their baby’s life.
And last ~ two amazing little girls and their adorable parents waiting out the last few weeks until they become a family of 5. We had so much fun, and oh wow did it take me back! Having a baby is a breeze by this point ~ just a small addition to an already crazy life, but it’s the one that makes a family truly complete. My own Baby #3 is almost 3 himself, but I remember waiting for him to make his appearance like it was yesterday! I loved meeting this family and I am SO excited for their new little one to arrive!
So, how did you spend your Sunday? I spent mine with three amazing families, and realizing once again how lucky I am to have the best job in the world and my own wonderful family to go home to when I’m done.
