I am obsessed with babies. This is no secret. I love newborns, chubby 6 month olds, sweet curious 9 month olds, and even babies still growing inside big beautiful bellies. I love them all. I like to think my baby love started way back when in 1983, when one of the most amazing people in the whole world was just a wee little bean growing away inside her mama’s belly. You see, that gorgeous belly held my sister, our very own Lindsay, assistant extraordinaire and organizational master behind LSP. All that time ago, before we ran this business together, before we were best friends and business partners, before we were aunts to each other’s children, before we were both moms in this big, crazy world, we were simply sisters. Me big and her little and I loved her from the start.
Now, our Lindsay is having her own baby – her second! I might be a bit biased, but Lindsay and her husband make some beautiful little ones. I can’t wait to meet the new peanut, find out if he/she is a boy or a girl, and just sit and snuggle and smell and kiss and love on that precious baby. And, now that we have this great big business of taking pictures and freezing moments in time to be remembered and treasured forever, I couldn’t wait for her maternity session! I have had this blog post brewing inside my head ever since she announced her pregnancy and I spent countless hours browsing through Pinterest getting ideas. The only teeny tiny little glitch was that Linds herself wasn’t too keen on the idea. She’s got this crazy notion that she’s not stunning and glowing and simply breathtaking and beautiful. I think it must be her pregnancy brain, because she looks ahhhh-mazing. Anyway, I kind of forced her to do it and I am so excited to show her off. Being that she’s my sister and such a huge part of LSP, I even convinced her to do it in two parts! We braved the frigid cold temps for some outdoor shots and then had fun inside with the big brother-to- be.
Check out our beautiful Lindsay :)
Glowing, right? Stunning and gorgeous and beautiful??! That’s what I think too. And I don’t even have any words for my excitement about that new baby in there. I just can’t wait! So, next time you send an email, tell Linds she’s amazing. No matter how many times I say it, it won’t be enough! Now we just all have to keep our fingers crossed that I can make it through her maternity leave on my own! Eeeeeek!
